As Founder and CEO of AI for Equity, Aaron supports and convenes leaders at innovative school networks across the country, positioning them to be smart decision-makers on all-things-AI, in service of a more just world for all students. Previously, Aaron co-founded and led Ingenuity Prep Public Charter School, where under his leadership, the school’s at-risk student achievement ranked near the top of all school networks in Washington, D.C. He holds an M.A. in Education Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University and a B.A. in English and Economics from the University of North Florida. He’s a proud dad of two girls and a trail running enthusiast.
Alex is the Chief Program Officer at AI for Equity, where he is deeply committed to supporting school systems in developing strategic AI plans. He brings extensive experience in public education as a teacher, school leader, and central office leader. Recently, he served as Chief Growth and Strategy Officer at Impact Public Schools, where he led teams overseeing talent, communications, development, and HR – expanding staff amid a national teacher shortage, quadrupling earned media, and consistently meeting fundraising goals. He also held leadership roles at Summit Public Schools, Washington, where he guided teams to achieve 100% college admission for founding classes and drive gains in state assessment outcomes. A musician and outdoor enthusiast, Alex lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife, two boys, and their puppy.
Erica joined Hendy Avenue because she believes that developing teachers, school leaders, and system-level leaders is essential to student success. As a Hendy consultant, she has helped partners design and implement teacher observation rubrics that elevate both pedagogy and student outcomes, leading to the publication of the Hendy Instructional Excellence Rubric. She has also guided networks in creating teacher compensation systems that reward excellence and leads Hendy’s Chief Academic Officer Cohort, where academic leaders build skills, sharpen vision, and problem-solve alongside peers. Before Hendy, Erica served as Chief Curriculum and Instruction Officer at Ascend Public Charter Schools, overseeing curriculum design and professional development. As a school director, she led Brownsville Ascend Lower School to dramatic proficiency gains, among the highest in New York City. Erica began her career as a teacher and instructional coach in NYC schools. She holds master’s degrees from Columbia University and Lehman College and a bachelor’s from Washington University in St. Louis.
Adam Feiler, Managing Director of Curriculum and Instruction, leads the design and implementation of DREAM Charter School's ambitious vision for a constructivist, culturally responsive, and critically conscious curriculum that promotes academic rigor and educational justice for DREAM’s youth. Adam also serves as DREAM's AI Owner, leading implementation of DREAM's 2035 goal that its alumni will exceed their affluent peers in not just using AI responsibly and effectively, but also by building widely-used AI applications and businesses that create intergenerational wealth and promote the societal good. Previously, Adam served as the Director of K-4 Curriculum and Assessment at Uncommon Schools, where he led the network’s 20 elementary schools to reverse the opportunity gap. He has a Bachelors in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, was an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Arts in Teaching program at the Relay Graduate School of Education, and has a Masters in Education Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
